Recurrence

Her lord had left many lives ago to find the way back.
And the journey was long and lonely. That lonely that he took his inner demons as frienly dogs and let his blindness be guided by their instincts.

One day, they met again, on a crossroads.
They hold hands and look into each other's eyes, rememorating their future life.
But then, he heard his dogs barking, telling him to take his old way from where he came.
And he left for his old self, guided by his faithful friends.

She stood there, facing forward the road not taken...and looking back after him...
And she knew that one day or another, one life or another...he will return.
She knew that he will be protected by that inner smile amulet she snuk into his heart.

Even if he will be hurt, she will have her tears to wash his wounds and her kisses to balm his heart...
